Snapping a photo
He grabbed his phone from his back pocket and snapped a photo. Maybe one of his friends would know what it was. He thought about picking one up but held back. What if it was asbestos-based or part of some weird pest nest? The curls reminded him of plastic shavings, but thicker. Some were almost translucent. He stood back up, unsure of what to make of it.
