Restless night
That night, Ben couldn’t settle. He was allowed to stay at his neighbor’s house for the time being, although it took some convincing. The window of their guest room overlooked his attic, and that view messed with Ben’s mind. He couldn’t stop staring, knowing what lay behind that attic window. Even when Ben got into bed, he woke up numerous times to revisit the view.
