A disheartening sight
From this angle, the ship looked more like a dead whale than a vessel. The deck that normally would have been their entry point, easily accessible by a ladder, was now a vertical wall that was impossible to climb. With the boat tilted, they desperately scanned the area for horizontal surfaces to stand on. A few broken lifeboats drifted nearby, all empty.
