Up close, the objects were about the size of large melons. Their rubbery surface looked softer than hard plastic, almost foam-like.
No labels, no smell, and no signs of origin. Sarah pressed one lightly with her gloved hand, but it gave no clue. They seemed harmless, yet something about the lack of markings made her uneasy.
