Thursday morning brought another blow. The petty cash box, normally kept under lock in the main office, was discovered shoved beneath the bleachers.
Frank was called in immediately. “Why would I hide it here?” he shouted, his voice breaking. But his words echoed uselessly against the office walls. To everyone else, the discovery only made him look guilty.
