Growing unrest
A sudden fear spread across the old man’s face, changing his expression completely. His eyes widened, and his breathing grew uneven. Kevin turned quickly to look behind him, expecting to see something alarming, but saw nothing unusual at all—just people walking and cars passing. When he turned back, the man was still glancing around frantically, his head jerking left and right like an animal trapped in an unseen danger.
