Taking off
Before Kevin could react, the old man suddenly took off running, his feet moving far quicker than Kevin expected for someone his age. Kevin stood frozen for a moment, stunned by the sudden movement. Then he watched the man sprint past the bus stop and disappear into a narrow alleyway nearby. For a few seconds, Kevin’s feet felt rooted to the pavement as his mind struggled to process what was happening.
