Starting a chase
Snapping back into focus, Kevin drew a deep breath and dashed after him. His heart pounded hard, each step echoing loudly against the concrete. “Wait!” Kevin yelled. “Please, stop! Tell me what’s going on!” But the old man only ran faster, darting around corners and slipping past trash bins with surprising agility. He never once looked back, as though something unseen was chasing him far more than Kevin was.
