Mind spinning
Kevin lingered in the alley for several more minutes, his mind racing with questions that had no answers. Every detail replayed in his head: the desperate expression, the sudden sprint, and then the impossible disappearance. His nerves buzzed with restless energy he couldn’t shake. Eventually, he turned back toward the main street, his footsteps slow and heavy. For the first time in years, he didn’t care about missing work. Something much bigger had just unfolded before him.
