Other commuters began gathering around, glancing curiously at Kevin but saying nothing. Kevin avoided their eyes, completely lost in replaying the morning’s events: the trembling hands, the fearful stare, and that sudden, desperate flight into nowhere. Something inside him insisted this wasn’t random. He couldn’t leave it unexplored. He had to know more. Against all logic, he felt pulled into the stranger’s world, and walking away no longer seemed like an option he could live with.
