Recognition
Sofia lifted her head slowly. Her eyes, wet and uncertain, scanned Benjamin’s face as if searching for something lost deep within. She reached out with a trembling hand, brushing against the lace of the dress. For a moment, nothing changed. Kevin’s chest sank with dread. But then her eyes widened, light flickering in them like a flame reigniting. She whispered softly, “Ben… Benjamin?” The word carried a spark of recognition.
