Up close, the man looked even more fragile than Kevin had imagined. His eyes were red and swollen, and he clutched the wedding dress tighter whenever footsteps echoed nearby. Kevin stood just a few feet away, unsure of how to break the silence without sounding rude. After a long breath, he stepped forward and cleared his throat gently. The old man raised his head slowly, eyes watery but quietly watchful.
