Plugging it in
David grabbed an SD card reader from a drawer and slid the tiny card inside. His fingers trembled slightly as he connected it to his laptop. A small loading icon spun on the screen for a few seconds before two folders popped up. One was labeled “list” and the other carried a single word that made David’s stomach tighten into a hard knot: “David.”
