Still annoyed but now more focused on getting ready for work, David ignored the bird’s frantic tapping. He made coffee, grabbed his jacket, and left the apartment without another glance back. He pushed the odd encounter out of his mind completely during his busy day at the office, focusing instead on meetings and tasks that filled every corner of his attention.
