Like a maze
He noticed two tunnel openings on opposite sides of the cavern, their entrances appearing like dark mouths against the smooth stone walls. The tunnels gave the place an eerie, maze-like feel, as if they might lead even deeper into unknown territory. Thomas’s breath echoed in the open space, mixing with the quiet hum of the forest above that felt impossibly far away now.
