The cables and clothes made this place feel more like an underground working facility than a cave system. When Thomas eventually found the end of the cable route, he found the tool to shed more light on this situation. And in this case, that was meant literally. The tunnel opened into a larger room, one of which Thomas could not yet estimate the scale due to its darkness.
