A team of workers
The workers looked surprised to see the lights already on. They glanced around, muttering to each other, but didn’t seem overly concerned. Instead, they focused on the massive machine, checking dials and running tests on various panels. Thomas stayed as still as possible, trying to control his breathing. He could feel sweat rolling down his neck as he watched them move methodically around the machine.
