A nervous wait
The following days were nerve-wracking. Thomas barely slept, his mind racing with questions. He replayed the footage over and over, hoping it would be enough. He jumped at every noise outside, convinced someone might come for him. But then, the phone finally rang. A calm but firm voice on the other end asked him to come to the station to discuss what they had found.
