James watched the men move closer to the tree without speaking. He saw dark devices clipped to their belts, instantly recognizable as stun guns. Animal patrol never used such tools, so that was a major red flag. Rick glanced at James and frowned. James leaned closer to Rick and whispered, “They’re not real animal patrol, are they?” Rick shook his head, analyzing the scene before them.
