A towering figure
His eyes widened, and his mind scrambled to process what he was actually looking at. Standing there was a bird unlike any he’d ever seen. It stood as tall as James himself when upright, with pale grey feathers that shimmered under the morning light. Its long, sharp beak looked powerful, and a feathered crest stood proudly atop its head like a crown.
