A restless night

She lay in bed staring at the ceiling for a long time, listening to every creak and sigh of the house. Each small noise felt like footsteps outside, and each shadow seemed to move. But eventually, her eyelids grew too heavy to fight. Before she knew it, she drifted into a restless sleep, her dreams filled with swirling images of dollar bills and whispering voices.
