Mr. Hensley took a thoughtful sip of coffee, his eyes drifting toward the window. “You know, this neighborhood wasn’t always so quiet,” he started, his voice low and almost conspiratorial. “Back in the 70s, there was talk of shady games happening around here — poker nights, bets, a few folks stashing away big cash prizes.” He paused, tapping his mug gently with his thumb.
