A strange feeling

A chill ran across Samantha’s shoulders. The thought that someone had chosen her yard, out of all the places in town, felt deeply unsettling. “Why would they pick me?” she asked, her voice soft. Mr. Hensley shook his head. “That part I don’t know,” he admitted. “But it makes me wonder if they wanted it hidden just for a short time, not forever.”
