A security breach?
Samantha instantly looked up and scanned the entire garden again. Were there people trying to break into her house? Was she in danger? This neighborhood was known for its safety, but breaks did happen occasionally. The footsteps were large and heavy, the kind that looked like they belonged to a man wearing work boots. A knot formed in her stomach.
