A weird reaction
Mark dried his hands, inspecting the rock, fingers tracing its edges and lens slowly. But instead of shock or outrage, he was oddly calm. “Could be a prank,” he said lightly, shrugging too quickly for her liking. Linda’s eyes widened in disbelief. “A prank? Mark, this isn’t a Halloween decoration! Someone planted this in our garden!” Her voice rose, frustration and fear clashing with his dismissive, casual response.
