Arriving home
With the appointment time set and answers on the horizon, Maya finished her walk home. She could hardly contain her curiosity as she placed the plastic lunchbox on her kitchen counter. “What are you, little one?” she whispered as she traced her finger over the plexiglass box. To her surprise, the creature followed Maya’s finger like a mirror image. “How interesting,” she said in awe.
