A plastic bag
Amber and Darren circled the outside perimeter to investigate from the visitors’ side. As they rounded the corner near the glass, they finally saw it — a crumpled plastic shopping bag pressed against the bottom edge of the viewing window. Apparently abandoned by a visitor, it had gone unnoticed the entire day. Cora’s eyes tracked them intently through the glass, and then she barked once, sharply, as if confirming that they had found it.
