Neon green
Amber and Darren carefully opened the top of the plastic, peeling it back layer by layer like unwrapping a fragile gift. Cora didn’t move, only pressed her palms to the glass, face close, watching every motion. Inside was a neon green blanket, folded multiple times. Amber carefully unwrapped each layer, heart pounding, afraid of what she might uncover. Darren leaned close as well, both of them bracing for something neither fully expected to see.
