Cora’s odd behavior

Amber had worked closely with the chimpanzees for nearly five years, and she had never seen anything quite like Chimpanzee Cora’s behavior on that day. While the other chimps swung happily between platforms or played in shaded corners of their enclosure, Cora kept pacing. She moved back and forth to the glass, stopping, pointing, then pacing again. Over and over, always pointing in the same direction as though she were desperate to show them something.
