Blocking the view

On this particular day, Cora’s face seemed tight with focus, her gestures urgent and strangely consistent. Each time Amber passed by, the chimp pointed again — not at a specific visitor, but toward something near the viewing window itself. Amber and the other keepers couldn’t see it clearly. There were simply too many people crowding around the enclosure, blocking the sightlines. Whatever held Cora’s attention remained hidden behind the shifting mass of legs and strollers.
