Taking notes

Amber began sketching almost every day, her notebook filling quickly with drawings of Ivey’s unusual features. She noted the tail, the broad shape of her skull, the curve of her ears, and the way she moved. Each new detail made Amber’s curiosity stronger. Ivey wasn’t a monkey, nor any animal the staff had seen before. Still, she thrived, healthy and happy under Cora’s constant, protective watch.
