Darker and sleeker

Her coat had changed too. The once faint fuzz had grown darker, sleek and smooth under the light. Every movement made her look stronger, sharper, more defined. There was something unmistakably fox-like about her now — the shape of her body, the way her tail flicked when she moved. Amber didn’t say the thought out loud, not yet, but it lingered at the edge of her mind every time she watched.
