Stop searching
Despite the unanswered questions, the zoo staff slowly stopped searching for explanations. Whoever left Ivey behind clearly hadn’t wanted to be known. They hadn’t stayed to claim her, or even to explain. That part of the story was gone, and no one could change it. Instead, what mattered most was here in front of them. From the very beginning, Cora had chosen Ivey, protecting her as though she had always belonged.
