As Ivey grew bolder, the staff allowed her to meet the rest of the chimp troop. The first attempts were shaky. Some of the chimps shrieked nervously, backing away. Others cast cautious glances, watching her every step. But Cora stayed close, standing firmly beside Ivey. She shielded her, reassured her, and made it clear to the others that this little fox belonged. Slowly, the tension began to shift into acceptance.
