Reaching the Summit
With one last heave, Thomas swung himself over the top edge and collapsed onto the frozen surface. He lay there for a moment, staring up at the sky, breath steaming in sharp bursts. Greg hauled himself up a few seconds later, rolling onto his back with a groan. They had made it. Below them, the dark ocean stretched endlessly. Above, the iceberg stretched out like a frozen plateau waiting to be explored.
