The Shocking Figure

As they drew closer, the shape grew clearer. It wasn’t a shadow at all. It was a man. Thin, hunched, with clothes ragged and clinging to his body. Frost clung to his beard, and his hands hung stiffly at his sides. He looked like he hadn’t eaten in days. The sight stopped Thomas and Greg cold. A living person, up here, where no one should be able to survive.
