Shared Fear

Thomas stared into the white expanse surrounding them, his stomach sinking. The town lay only miles away, its small fishing boats tied up at the docks, its families sleeping in warm houses. If the iceberg split, everything would change. He turned to Greg and the man. “We can’t keep this quiet,” Thomas said. His voice wavered, but the resolve was clear. “If this breaks, it won’t just kill fish — it’ll kill us too.”
