A Tower of Ice

Gasps spread quickly through the group. Out in the bay, something enormous drifted past the cliffs. At first it looked like a wall of snow, pale against the early light. But as it turned, the jagged edges became clear. It wasn’t snow—it was ice. A massive iceberg towered above the fishing boats, scraping against the rocks with a low groan. The ground trembled again, and coats were pulled tighter.
