A Strange Shape
Just as the crowd began to settle into stunned silence, someone pointed upward. “Look at the top!” a voice shouted. Dozens of heads snapped back, eyes squinting against the glare. At first, all they saw was ice, sharp and uneven like teeth. But then a darker outline came into focus, standing upright against the bright white snow. It wasn’t natural. It was something else—something that didn’t belong there.
