She grabbed her coat and headed out without another word. Bob watched her go, heart pounding just slightly faster than it had been an hour before. Judith wasn’t like this — she didn’t hide things, didn’t act strangely for no reason. He stood in the middle of their living room for a long time after she left, glancing once at the drawer that held the mysterious carrot ring.
