He followed her quietly, trying to figure out where she was going. Judith walked fast, her coat pulled tight around her waist. She didn’t look back, but after five minutes, she paused suddenly, glancing over her shoulder. Bob dropped flat behind a tree. His breath caught in his throat. She lingered there for a second, suspicious — then moved on, faster than before. He waited, then followed again.
