Calling it a night
By evening, exhaustion weighed heavy on every crew member. They had uncovered little beyond surface details, and fatigue was mounting. Harper finally called it. “That’s enough for today.” They sealed the hanger with reinforced locks and bolted the entrances. Harper double-checked each camera feed, repositioning lenses so the object remained visible at all times. Something deep inside told him it was necessary. The strange artifact demanded constant vigilance.
