Two more intruders had slipped through the mayhem, vanishing into the dark beyond the facility. Harper spotted a shadow darting toward the access road, and he broke into another chase without hesitation. His boots hammered the pavement, each step echoing like a drumbeat. Breath tore through his lungs, but adrenaline drowned the ache. The figure ahead swerved sharply, disappearing around the edge of a storage building. Harper narrowed his focus.
