A surreal connection
Coco reached the glass just as the smaller animal pressed its paws higher. The giant panda’s black-and-white face loomed close, eyes wide and unblinking as it mirrored the little creature’s movements. Alison stood transfixed, barely daring to breathe. It was as if the two animals had known each other forever, though she had no idea how that could possibly be.
