Kevin emerged into another chamber, coughing against stale air. His light swept the room. Willem stood before him—trembling, wiry, pacing in tight circles. His feet scuffed the dusty floor. The chamber had no exits; Kevin himself blocked the tunnel. Willem’s eyes darted wildly between him and the walls, desperate for escape where none existed. The confrontation was unavoidable now.
