Feeling the weight

Suzan’s elbows dug into the dirt as she wiggled forward, inch by inch. At one point, the tunnel seemed to close in tighter, forcing her to exhale and flatten her chest just to pass. Panic clawed at the edge of her mind, but she pushed it down. There was no turning back now. She couldn’t turn in the tunnel, so the only way was forward.
