Suzan didn’t finish her hike. Instead, she retraced her steps through the forest, eager to get back to her remote vacation bungalow. When she reached the familiar wooden cabin, she showered away the dirt and grime, then slipped into clean clothes. Wrapped in the comfort of home, she made herself a steaming cup of tea and settled into a chair.
