Swallowed whole

The trees opened into a small clearing, and there it was—a rusting, moss-covered bus sitting silently among the ferns. Its paint had faded and peeled to reveal patches of metal underneath, and the wheels were buried in the soft ground. Suzan stared, stunned. It was as though the forest had swallowed it whole, leaving the vehicle half-decayed, but still entirely out of place.
