Analysing the shadow
Megan and Bob lingered, watching closely for the splash to return. For a while, nothing disturbed the calm waves. Then suddenly, a black shadow erupted from the sea, leaping skyward with shocking force. It let out the most guttural, mournful moan they had ever heard. The creature’s body was slick, elongated, easily ten feet long. But strangest of all, its pitch-black coloring made any distinct features impossible to identify, leaving only a terrifying impression.
