Still shaken yet unwilling to simply leave, they decided to retreat from the shore and talk in private. Following a winding trail inland, they walked toward the small dock area nearby. It lay only two hundred meters away, nestled beside a harbor filled with modest boats and benches bleached by salt air. There, among the quiet buildings, they spotted a small seaside bistro where they could sit together, collect themselves, and process the experience.
